Nobody tries playing with his friends, but when he bothers Tom from his homework and interrupts Gilly’s ballet practice, he just gets accused of pestering, and told to go away. Nobody decides to get his own back, and has fun moving an antique figurine in front of Peter, scaring off one of his customers. When Peter tells Jane about the poltergeist incident, Nobody decides to have more fun – and soon the entire contents of the living room are swirling around the adults’ heads, sending them and Wally fleeing in fright. Later on, Tom and Gilly notice their parents’ odd behaviour; Nobody returns and laughs as his bit of fun, but the children become worried that it may make their parents want to leave ‘Cornerstones’. Meanwhile, Peter and Jane recall all the other reports of ghostly sightings at the house, and realise they have to either sell up or do something about it… That evening, Tom and Gilly are unable to sleep, so Nobody tells them about another ghost, a big-mouthed show-off called Silver Ned. Downstairs, the Sinclairs receive a visit from a man called Mr Kettner, a ghost catcher who has heard of their trouble, and has come to offer his expertise by exorcising their ghost. When Nobody hears the news he knows it will mean the end of his time at ‘Cornerstones’ – unless he can find another ghost to take the fall…
